Meet the Models: 2016 Harley® Line

If ever there was a time to be interested in riding a motorcycle — now is it. The new Harley-Davidson® lineup offers several noteworthy updates for 2016 that serve to enhance both the style and performance of these rebellious models. With the holiday season fast approaching, why not treat yourself to some good old American steel? (1)

What’s New

There’s a lot to appreciate from Harley®’s 2016 lineup, as new models have been added to the Sportster, Touring, S Series and CVO families. Also, most rides (including the Street and Dyna collection) benefit from several updates. Here’s an overview of what you can expect: (1)

Sportster

For 2016, the Sportster family gains a new model: the Harley-Davidson® SuperLow 1200T. (1) According to Chron, this lightweight motorcycle features premium Touring elements, a narrow chassis, good handling, a low center of gravity and great maneuverability. Overall, it's definitely one to consider. (2)

As for its siblings, the Iron 883 sports a modern design “inspired by garage-built bobbers,” says H-D®. The model gives off a raw and rough vibe — perfect for Harley® lovers — and a new front and adjustable rear suspension improve control. In addition, riders also benefit from lightweight wheels and a more comfortable seat. The Forty-Eight, on the other hand, gets a gigantic front end with new 49mm forks, new mag wheels and styling cues that enhance the bike’s bold, menacing look. (2)

Softail

Two S-series limited-edition cruisers — the 2016 Fat Boy S and Softail Slim — both benefit from a Screamin’ Eagle Twin Cam 110 engine, which has been described as a “tire-smoker” by Mark-Hans Richer, Harley®’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. What’s more, the model also features a darker visual style, explains Cycle World. (3)

Then there’s the 2016 Heritage Softail Classic that, according to the bike maker, combines “nostalgic style with modern Softail performance.” Refreshed styling, standard electronic cruise control and a High Output Twin Cam 103B engine are among its latest improvements. (3)

Touring

In the Touring family, the 2016 H-D® Road Glide Ultra is finally back after a two-year hiatus. The model returns to the lineup having received a few Project Rushmore enhancements, and sports styling updates (such as a frame-mounted fairing with a Daymaker LED headlamp), and improved ergonomics and aerodynamics. A Twin-Cooled High Output Twin Cam 103 certainly adds to the bike’s overall charm. (3)

All models are available at Adamec Harley-Davidson® of Baymeadows, Orange Park, Adamec Harley-Davidson® of Baymeadows, Orange Park, Regency and St.Augustine and St.Augustine. (1)
